Meet Wendy
For far too long, our elected officials have either ignored these problems or been more concerned with their own personal agendas instead of addressing the root causes of these issues. I'm not only committed to addressing these problems, but I'm also willing to work with and see value in people with different views and perspectives. It's going to take our entire community coming together and having meaningful discussions on difficult topics.
As a retired community corrections officer, I've seen firsthand that we need a balance between making our streets safer and providing support for those in need. To address our homelessness epidemic, we need both compassion and accountability. I've worked with service organizations for nearly 20 years that I know can improve these conditions. When we work together, we will not only see better mental health outcomes and reduced drug addiction, but we will also see a thriving local business community.
Most of all, I know I'm not perfect, I don't have all of the answers, and I can't do it all myself. My commitment to you and the community that I love is that we can and will do it if we are willing to work together. Now, if you look around over the past 5-10 years and think, "Hey, we are in a better place than we used to be," then be sure to vote for the status quo. But if you're like me and believe we need a change, I hope you'll put your faith in me to represent you.
